Many will scratch their head on how to raise money to propose to the love of their life.
However, for Joseph Kagiso Ndlovu, all he needed was to participate in a marathon. Just
like coming up with the money for a lavish venue and the refreshments is no walk in the park,
so is preparing and participating in a marathon.
Running 90km equivalent to 56 miles of the Comrades marathon, all that Kagiso had in mind was to win Prudence’s heart.
Approaching the finish line, Kagiso held up a banner asking her to marry him on Sunday. It
read, “Prudence will you marry me? Run 90k for you.”
Social media platforms have had a field day at how far one can go to win a woman’s heart.
The heartbreaking bit is when after going such miles, the woman says a blatant, “No”.
Fortunately for Kagiso, according to BBC, Prudence, who was also at the race to support
him, said, “Yes” to the proposal. The pair has been dating since the start of the year and are
set to wed later this year.
Kagiso who had been participating in the marathon for seven times had taken a break for
two years only to return in 2022 and she was the main catalyst for the return.
